This Privacy Policy explains how PowerCode collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PowerCode IDE, PowerCode Store, and the website at powercodeide.com. By using the services, you acknowledge this policy.

1. Who we are

1.1. Operator

PowerCode operates the services described in this policy. You can reach us through the contact options on powercodeide.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1. Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider. We also store session cookies so you can stay signed in.

2.2. Store activity

If you use PowerCode Store, we process catalog browsing, app download requests, and related install metadata needed to deliver binaries and updates.

2.3. Website use

The public website may store your language preference and, if you sign in to the admin area, your session. We do not use that session to sell advertising.

2.4. Communications

We send transactional email such as address verification. The email provider processes your address only to deliver those messages.

3. How we use information

3.1. Purposes

We use information to create and secure your account, provide the Store and website, send verification and service notices (including a 30-day notice if a free plan becomes paid), prevent abuse, and comply with law.

3.2. No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.

4. Where your code lives

4.1. Local projects

Project and workspace files you edit in the PowerCode IDE are stored on your device unless a feature you choose later uploads them. This policy does not turn local files into data we collect.

4.2. Backups

You are responsible for exporting and backing up your code. If we convert a free plan to a paid plan, you will have at least 30 days’ notice to back up local files before paid access is required.

5. Cookies and sessions

5.1. Authentication cookies

We use cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in to the Store, IDE (where accounts are used), and website admin. These are required for the service to work.

6. Sharing

6.1. Processors

We share information with infrastructure providers that host our API, database, object storage, email, and related systems, only to operate the services.

6.2. Legal requests

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect PowerCode or others, or in connection with a merger or transfer of operations, still subject to this policy.

7. Retention

7.1. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account exists and as needed for security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account through the contact options on the website, subject to residual copies in backups for a limited period.

8. Security

8.1. Safeguards and limits

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. PowerCode is not liable for unauthorized access that occurs despite those measures, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

9. Children

9.1. Not directed to children

PowerCode is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your country. Do not create an account if you are below that age.

10. Your choices

10.1. Access and correction

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us through powercodeide.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

11. International processing

11.1. Transfers

We may process information in countries other than your own. By using the services you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations as needed to operate PowerCode.

12.1. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy. The version shown in the app or on the website is current. Material changes will be reflected in a new version. Continued use after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy, except where law requires additional consent.
