Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of PowerCode, including the PowerCode IDE, PowerCode Store, and the website at powercodeide.com. By creating an account, installing, or using any PowerCode product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PowerCode.
1. Agreement and parties
1.1. The operator
PowerCode (“PowerCode”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the IDE, Store, and website. These terms are a binding agreement between you and PowerCode.
1.2. Acceptance
You accept these terms by signing up, checking the agreement boxes, or otherwise using the services. If you use PowerCode on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The services
2.1. What we provide
PowerCode provides a multiplatform code editor, an app store for installing PowerCode-related software, and a public website. Features may change, be limited, or be unavailable on some devices or plans.
2.2. No professional advice
PowerCode is a software tool. It is not legal, financial, security, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding whether any code, suggestion, or output is fit for your purpose.
3. Accounts
3.1. Eligibility and credentials
You must provide accurate account information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
3.2. Email verification
Some features require a verified email address. We may suspend or limit unverified accounts.
4. Your content and responsibility
4.1. Ownership
You retain ownership of the code and files you create. PowerCode does not claim ownership of your projects.
4.2. Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your code, projects, plugins, packages, commands, and any harm they cause to you, to other people, or to any system. You are responsible for backing up your work.
4.3. License to operate the service
You grant PowerCode a limited license to process account data and any content you transmit to our servers solely as needed to provide, secure, and improve the services.
5. Acceptable use
5.1. Prohibited conduct
You may not use PowerCode to violate law, infringe others’ rights, distribute malware, attack systems, attempt unauthorized access, harass others, or interfere with the services. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems except as allowed by mandatory law.
6. Third-party software, plugins, AI, and runtime
6.1. As-is ecosystem
Language plugins, store apps, package managers, terminals, browsers, AI models, and other third-party tools may fail, produce incorrect output, or include harmful code. PowerCode does not control and is not responsible for third-party software, models, or content.
6.2. Device and environment
Installing packages, running commands, or using a Linux-style runtime can change your device. You accept those risks, including data loss, device damage, unexpected charges, and security issues.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
7.1. Provided as is
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POWERCODE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
8. Limitation of liability
8.1. No liability for damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POWERCODE AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
8.2. Damage caused by or to users
PowerCode is not liable for damage caused by users or to users, including damage from your code, another user’s code, plugins, AI output, store apps, third-party packages, commands you run, device failure, data loss, downtime, or any other problem of any kind related to the services.
8.3. Claims between users
Any dispute between you and another user, developer, or third party is solely between those parties. PowerCode has no duty to mediate, indemnify, or compensate either side.
8.4. Cap and non-waivable rights
If a court finds that any liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to PowerCode for the services in the three months before the claim or (b) zero if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by proven negligence where such exclusion is forbidden.
9. Indemnification
9.1. Your indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PowerCode and its operators from any claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the services, your content, your violation of these terms or of law, or any harm you cause to others.
10. Free-to-paid conversion
10.1. We may introduce paid plans
PowerCode may currently be offered at no charge. We may convert any free plan, feature, or product into a paid plan at any time.
10.2. Thirty-day backup window
Before paid access is required, we will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice in the app and/or by email. During that window you may export and back up your code and other local project files. After the window, unpaid accounts may lose access to paid features or to the services until a paid plan is purchased.
10.3. No compensation for conversion
We are not obligated to keep any feature free, to host your projects, or to compensate you for the conversion, for lost access, or for time spent backing up your work.
11. Changes, suspension, and termination
11.1. Service changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, risk to the services or others, or as required by law.
11.2. Your termination
You may stop using PowerCode and delete your account where that option is provided. Termination does not affect sections that by their nature should survive, including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and the free-to-paid conversion terms.
12. Changes to these terms
12.1. Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown in the app or on the website is the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where applicable law requires additional consent.

13.2. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of PowerCode, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence apply and cannot be waived. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
